Assistant Team Manager – 2025 European Championships, Poland
Are you passionate about surf lifesaving and ready to support the GBR Lifesaving team on the international stage? An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Team Manager to join our management team for the 2025 European Championships in Poland.
Location: Poland (with potential pre-competition commitments in the UK)
Event Dates: Friday 22 August to 1 September 2025
Application Deadline: Friday 20 June
About the Role:
As Assistant Team Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Team Manager and coaching staff in the planning, coordination, and delivery of all team operations. This includes athlete logistics, welfare, communications, and on-the-ground support during the championship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with team travel, accommodation, and scheduling
- Support athlete welfare and team cohesion
- Liaise with event organisers and officials
- Help manage equipment
- Provide administrative and logistical support before and during the event
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience in team management or support roles (preferably in ocean and beach disciplines in a high-performance environment)
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
- A team player with a proactive and positive attitude
- Availability for pre-competition meetings (online), potential training events and the full duration of the championship
