At the SLSGB Sport Committee meeting the 2023 National dates were confirmed.
SLSGB National Pool Events
Due to the clash of dates with the Swim England South West Regional Championship it was agreed to swop the event dates so that member were able to attend both events.
New Dates:
All events will be held at Cardiff International Pool.
Youth – 25th March
Open/Masters – 26th March
Nipper 8/9/10yrs – 29th April
Nipper 11/12/13yrs – 30th April
Please note: The Youth/Open/Masters event will be Time Seeded and not run in Age Groups.
SLSGB National Ocean
Due to the 2023 European Youth Championships in Poland being held between 20th and 25th August, the SLSGB Youth event will now be held on the Monday and Tuesday 14th and 15th August to allow National Team members time to compete at Nationals and to then travel to Poland.
The SLSGB National Age Group events will be hosted by Branksome Chine SLSC
Masters – 12th and 13th August
Youth – 14th and 15th August
Nippers – 18th and 19th August
SLSGB National Open
The confirmed dates are 9th and 10th September hosted by Portreath SLSC.
(The alternative date suggested of the August Bank Holiday weekend was too close to the Age Group events and would have required our volunteer officials to turn out immediately after the Branksome events and also would not have permitted European GBR Youth Team members the opportunity to compete at the SLSGB Open)
