The award is completed in three stages and covers;
- Legal obligation and guidance
- Aquatic Safety Management
- Communication and Team competency
- Safeguarding
- Drowning and Immersion
- Emergency Command and Control
- Search and Rescue
- Event Climate Environment
How is assessment completed?
The assessment of this course is completed through practical demonstration, verbal questioning, role play and online tests.
Upon qualification the individual will understand and be able to implement and support a safe, working environment for aquatic events based on legislation, guidance and good practice.
Is prior experience required for this Award?
Yes, the following experience is required;
- Previous experience in water safety either as a lifeguard or, flood rescue team member
- Management and risk management experience
