The Events Safeguarding Checklist is used to make sure the correct policies and procedures in place for any event that is taking place.

The Missing/Found Report Form collates all known personal information of a person who has been found or reported missing. It also shows details of the first informant and the person they were reunited with.

Although some of the SLSGB Awards have an assessment age that permits young people under the age of 16 to undertake the awards, special care must be taken to ensure that in any club volunteer activity they are not allowed to do anything which is likely to be harmful to their safety.

A vulnerable adult is defined as an individual age 18 or older who has the functional, mental, or physical inability to care for themselves.

Fair play is defined as much more than playing within the rules. It incorporates the concepts of friendships, sportsmanship and respecting others and always playing within the right spirit. Fair play is defined as a way of thinking, not just a way of behaving.

We respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.

The Club Code of Conduct is an expression of the spirit in which it is expected members will conduct themselves on a personal and professional basis.

This policy applies to all Club Members including Young People and all those under the control or direction of the Club.
